Allen Design, Inc. is a full service architecture firm located in Charleston, South Carolina specializing in Custom Home Design and Residential Architecture. Our roots are firmly planted here, and we draw inspiration from the rich architectural tradition of Charleston and the warm landscape of the South Carolina Lowcountry.
As a small firm, Allen Design offers its clients a unique experience that begins and ends with personal attention. Each phase of the design from the initial meeting to the project completion is handled professionally with a great attention to detail and a diligent pursuit of design excellence. Elizabeth Allen, the principal architect and firm’s founder, was born and raised in Charleston, and the Lowcountry lifestyle is firmly imbedded in how she approaches each new project. Elizabeth attended Clemson University and study Architecture, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Design in 1996 and a Master of Architecture degree in 1998. After being in business in Charleston for over ten years and having completed over 100 projects, winning numerous awards, and making countless new friends, her goal remains the same: to continue to be a small firm and provide a very personal experience to my clients and to continue to acknowledge the important role that architecture plays in Charleston’s rapidly changing landscape.
As Charleston Architects, we are trained to and practice daily with an eye on the big picture while at the same time focusing on the individual details that the make the whole project unique and special.
